WHAT ARE TURKEY SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS AND ISDB GRANT PROGRAMS, FOR WHOM, WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS
The Turkiye Burslari Scholarships and the ISDB (Islamic Development Bank) Scholarship programs

The International Joint Scholarship Program is a program designed for international higher education in Turkish universities. This program provides an opportunity to study on the basis of a 100% Grant, organized annually in more than 70 higher education institutions of the highest potential in Turkiye.

The purpose of the Turkiye Burslari Scholarships and the ISDB (Islamic Development Bank) Scholarship programs
It is to contribute to the economy development and the social life in these countries by training the qualified personnel necessary for the development of the economy, agriculture, industry and other sectors of various countries by the state funds, banks and financial cooperation of Turkey and many developed Muslim countries.
For this purpose, it is necessary to organize and cooperate with the organization of international grants that cover the study and living expenses of students in prestigious universities of developed countries every year.

The number of scholarships for students: 5,000 scholarships are awarded to 5,000 students each year under Turkey-ISDB Cooperation Scholarship programs, and in total 8,000 scholarships are awarded to students annually. It is a large grant program.
Within the framework of this Grant program, students have the opportunity to study and participate in the students exchange programs in Turkey, Malaysia, Qatar, the UAE and other developed Muslim countries, as well as in Europe, the USA and other countries.
WHAT THIS INTERNATIONAL GRANT PROGRAM COVERS:
  • These grant programs are the programs designed for the Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate education stages there in the prestigious higher education universities of Turkey, and they provide 100% covering of the following expenses;
    1 – The University selection and placement;
    2 – The Annual contract fees for studying at the university:
    – For the bachelor's degree – during (4+1) years;
    – For the master's degree – during (2+1) years;
    – For the doctoral degree – during (4+1) years;
    3 – The Monthly stipend for the entire study period;
    4 – The Provision of a dormitory for living every year;
    5 – The Morning and evening meal expenses;
    6 – The Annual medical insurance for medical expenses;
    7 – The Preparatory Turkish language course (1 year);
    8 – The Counseling and cultural events in the university and educational process;
    9 – The Airline ticket (to and from Turkey)
  • The Grants financial amounts: All the above costs for students' study and living are different for each university, depending on the type of university and major, the average total amount for the entire study period is from 40,000 to 120,000 US dollars, covered by the grant. IT WILL BE PAID.
  • The Admission conditions and requirements: The Admission is WITHOUT EXAMINATION. Based on the review of submitted documents.
  • The basis of the admission selection process: The special committee of Turkiye selects the applicants after studying their academic grades, achievements at school and university, study goals, future plans, letters of recommendation, and letters of intent.
  • Foreign language requirement: The Foreign language knowledge and certificates are also not required. The reason is that the Turkish and English languages preparatory courses are additionally taught for 1 year at the universities that accept for scholarships in the Turkish and English languages.
  • Number of universities participating in the grants programs: More than 70 high-potential universities in Turkiye are accepting students with this grants program.
  • Spheres / Fields accepted there in the scholarship program: 100 types of fields are accepted for the scholarship program.
  • The Requirement from candidates for the application: Each year, during the announced period of admission, it is necessary to prepare the required documents there in the system correctly, clearly, without defects and properly and send them online to the admission commission of Turkiye through the special system.
SOME REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS FOR THIS GRANT:
1. MINIMUM ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:

• The Minimum academic grade average for the bachelor’s applicants is: 70 points on a 100-point system (the average 3.5 on a 5-point system) and must be higher.
• The Minimum academic grade average for the master's and doctoral applicants is: 70 points on a 100-point system (the average 3.5 on a 5-point system) and must be higher.
• The Minimum academic grade average for applicants of the health sciences (medicine, dentistry and pharmacy): 90 points on a 100-point system (4.5 on a 5-point system) and higher.

2. THE AGE CRITERIA OF THE GRANT APPLICANTS:

• Not more than 21 years old for the undergraduate programs
• Not more than 30 years old for the master's programs
• Not more 35 years old for the doctoral programs

3. WHO CAN SUBMIT DOCUMENTS:

• For the bachelor's degree – the students who are currently studying there at the 11th grade of the school, in the 2nd year of the lyceum colleges and candidates who have already graduated from them can apply (that is, those who have graduated from schools and lyceums and can graduate at the end of this academic year (until September 2024) graduates as well)
• To the master's degree - those who are studying in the 4th year of the bachelor's degree and those who have completed it before
For doctoral studies - those who are studying at the 2nd year of the Master's degree and those who have completed it earlier
• Scientific researchers and academics (up to 1 year)
• Citizens of all countries who meet the above requirements

4. THE INVALID GROUPS:

• If students are already studying at the Turkish universities at the level of study they have applied for.
Terms of validity of the grant to users:
The Grant duration for the Bachelor’s students: The 1-year Turkish language preparatory course + 4 (total 5) years of the university study (depending on the normal duration of the program)
The Grant duration for the Master’s students: The 1-year Turkish language preparatory course + 2 years Master's degree (3 years in total)
The Grant duration for the Doctoral students: The 1-year Turkish language preparatory course + 4 years Doctoral study (5 years in total)

WHAT THE GRANTS INCLUDE

1. The Scholarship programs for the full-time education:

What the Bachelor’s Scholarship Program (1+4 years) covers:
• The University and program placement
• The Annual University tuition fees
• The Monthly stipend: 3500 TL ($ 120) per month
• The Medical Insurance (the treatment and medicine expenses in case of illness)
• Accommodation (bed and breakfast provided by the State)
• 2 meals
• The 1-year Turkish language preparation course fee
• The Air ticket for departure and return

Duration of The Bachelor’s Scholarship Program: The 1-year Turkish language course + 4 (total 5) years (depending on the duration of the program)

What is covered in the Scholarship program for the Master's (1+2 years) and the Doctoral studies (1+4 years):

• The University and program placement
• The Monthly scholarship:
-the Master’s studies: 5000 TL ($172) per month
-the Doctoral studies: 6500 TL ($224) per month
• The Yearly Tuition fee
• The Yearly Medical Insurance
• The Yearly Residential dormitory
• 2 meals
• The 1-year Turkish language course
• The Round trip plane ticket
